Hey Everyone, I’m Kyle Greiman and I’m the Angus
representative on the Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Board. I’m
currently a freshman at Iowa State University and I’m
majoring in Ag. Studies.
As the new year begins so
does the new show season with the Iowa Beef Expo coming
up February 19th to the 21st. Be sure to check the
website soon for entries which will be due February
1st.Check-In will be the 19th from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
and a hamburger feed at 11:30 AM. Showmanship will also
be the 19th at 4:30 PM. Also a rule that has been
changed for the Expo is that there will be only one set
of side panels per county and be sure to read all the
other rules for the new show season because many of them
have been changed.

Trailer Sales
Sponsors Trailers for
Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association

Central Iowa Featherlite Trailer Sales, Bondurant, Iowa has
graciously agreed to sponsor two Featherlite Trailers to honor
the Market Animal High Point Individual and Breeding Heifer High
Point Individual. Central Iowa Featherlite will donate two
trailers for a one-year use with the option to purchase the
trailer after the one year. Central Iowa Featherlite will
present one trailer to each of the IJBBA High Point Individuals
in the Market Animal Division and Breeding Heifer Division at
our 2008 Year-End Awards Presentation.
Youth from the state of Iowa compete for champion titles at Iowa
Junior Beef Breed Association (IJBBA) Sanctioned Shows. The
IJBBA gives awards to members who accumulate the greatest number
of points in a given year running from February to February.
Exhibitors have the opportunity to compete in two divisions:
Breeding Heifers and Market Animals.
The Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association which is a non-profit
organization was organized in September of 1986 and is an
affiliate of the Iowa Beef Breeds Council and currently has
approximately 700 members. The Iowa Junior Beef Breeds
Association is governed by the Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Council.
To be a member of the Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association, an
individual cannot have reached their 21st birthday prior to
January 1st of the current show year. Through this organization,
juniors are given the opportunity to learn, develop new skills,
and grow. This is achieved through the many activities they are
involved in through the association.
Central Iowa Featherlite is located 2 miles North of Interstate
80 on Highway 65 in Bondurant. Featherlite is a leading designer
and manufacturer of aluminum livestock trailers. To learn more

Reminder
to ALL IJBBA Members:
Dress Code: All IJBBA members MUST exhibit in a collared/crew
neck,
sleeved/short sleeved shirt that MUST remain tucked in during
exhibition.
Any IJBBA member not complying with the dress code will be disqualified.
IJBBA Members MUST exhibit in SIX IJBBA sanctioned shows to
receive the year-end award presented by the IJBBA.
